Ru’chu [ɾuʧu] is the name of another conlang of mine, created in the Summer of 2018. It is an artlang (“artistic language”), used in many of my drawings for ‘aesthetic’ purposes (put less pretentiously, it ‘just looks cool’).
Ru’chu, as a language, is:
- Logographic (made up of hundreds of characters that each carry a specific meaning)
- SVO (Subject-Verb-Object order)
- Not tonal, but does feature extended vowels (see Phonology).
Ru’chu has the following phonetic inventory:
[b], [t͡ʃ], [d], [g], [h], [d͡ʒ], [k], [l], [m], [n], [p], [ɾ], [s], [t], [j]
[a], [i], [u], [aː], [iː], [uː]
(The “ː” at the end of the second set of vowels indicates extended vowel length.)
